Continuous Benefit and Socioeconomic Dynamics
The research investigates the role of the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC) in the socioeconomic conditions of families and in local markets. The focus is on understanding how the presence of the benefit is associated with different dimensions of well-being, including educational results of household members and indicators of economic dynamism in municipalities.
The project analyzes the relationship between BPC and schooling, and permanence of children and young people, in addition to its effects on the local labor market, such as formal occupation and wage bill. Heterogeneities are also explored according to the profile of families and intensity of coverage of the program in the territories.
