Bolsa Família conditionalities and Social Mobility
The research analyzes the role of the conditionalities of the Bolsa Família Program, especially in the areas of education and health, in the trajectory of the beneficiaries over time. The focus is on understanding how monitoring and compliance with these requirements relates to human capital development and to the social mobility of young people.
The project investigates the relationship between compliance with conditionalities during adolescence and outcomes in adult life, such as schooling, insertion in the labor market and permanence in social programs. It also looks at the variation in the monitoring of conditionalities across regions and over time, highlighting the role of institutional capacity in policy implementation.
