Early pregnancy and social mobility

A recent literature review on early pregnancy conducted by IMDS (Institute for Mobility and Social Development), based on about 40 local and international studies, reveals how adolescent motherhood significantly reduces social mobility and increases dependence on welfare policies. The effects are prolonged into adulthood and, even more seriously, are reproduced across generations.
