The new results of the Atlas of Social Mobility show why this discussion is so urgent. The update, released in July 2026, confirms that breaking the cycle of inequalities remains a huge challenge in Brazil. Only 8.32% manage to reach the richest 25% and only 1.28% reach the top 10% income bracket.
