Household Budget Survey – POF
The Household Budget Survey (POF) Indicator Panel is a tool that allows you to visualize and analyze data on the composition of household budgets and the living conditions of the Brazilian population, based on data from the survey conducted in 2017 and 2018 by the IBGE.
Eight main themes are addressed in the panel: Food, Education, Housing, Health, Consumption, Household Environment, Income and Work. Each theme contains a set of indicators that portray different aspects of the composition of household budgets and the living conditions of the Brazilian population.
In addition, the panel offers the possibility of opening the indicators by skin color or race, location of the household (urban or rural), sex, education, age group, income percentile and expenditure percentile. In this way, it is possible to recognize the particularities of each demographic group and identify possible sources of barriers to social mobility in Brazil.
