The “Republic of the Excluded” that Brazil needs to free from poverty

From 2014 to 2022, the number of Brazilians in situation of poverty rose from 22% to 32% of the population. Extreme poverty grew from 5.2% to 9.8%, according to the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS).
