A study carried out by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) shows that, of the 15.5 million young people aged 7 to 16 who, in December 2012, received Bolsa Família as dependents, 10.3 million — equivalent to 66.5% — managed to leave the program in the following 12 years, by 2024. The data indicates an improvement in the socioeconomic condition of a significant part of these families.
