Research shows that almost half of the young people in the Bolsa Família program achieved autonomy and left the Unified Registry in 12 years

A survey by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) revealed that 48.9% of young beneficiaries of Bolsa Família completely left the Unified Registry (CadÚnico) between 2012 and 2024. The research, entitled “Determinants of Leaving the Unified Registry: Longitudinal Evidence from Bolsa Família beneficiaries in 2012”, followed 15.5 million people and analyzed the factors that influenced the permanence or autonomy in relation to the social protection network.
