Only one fifth of the ‘children’ of Bolsa Família continued in the program after 14 years
An unpublished study of the Institute for Mobility and Social Development, disclosed exclusively for Folha, accompanied the leaving and permanence of 11.6 thousand dependents in Cadúnico from 2005 to 2019.
The study points out that only 2 in every 10 dependents of Bolsa Família, or 2.373 million people, continued after 14 years in homes entered in the program, either as dependents or as heads of household.
