Although there are no specific official statistics on this type of decision, studies on social mobility help to understand the phenomenon. Data from the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD), analyzed by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), indicate that family support is one of the main factors that influence the educational and professional future of young people.
