The Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) launches the new version of its website on April 16th. With new design and navigation logic, the institute’s “digital HQ” is now better organized and easier to browse. The large collection of content – publications, dashboards, indicators – can be found through various filters and tags and, for those interested, soon it will also be possible to download the data from the dashboards, in an easy and fast way.

“Our first website, developed in record time by our partner Gr2 Comunicação, has fulfilled an essential mission since the foundation of IMDS. Now, the new environment follows the evolution of the institute and the growth and diversification of its productions and partnerships,” says Paulo Tafner, CEO of the institute, founded by Arminio Fraga and him in 2020.

Developed by FIB studio – Fábrica de Ideias Brasileiras, in partnership with the IMDS team, the site has a concept that runs across all the contents: the thematic lines, areas of dedication of the team of researchers. These are: Human Capital, Social Mobility and Opportunities, Evidence-based Public Policy, Risk and Social Security, and Territory and Social Development. Thus, it is possible to organize a query by searching through all these thematic verticals.

The “Events” section presents the seminars in which IMDS participates in or organizes, alone or with partners, whereas the “In the News” section displays IMDS’ presence in the media, including exclusive articles as well as mentions – there were more than 150 between 2022 and 2023.

“The organization of the contents is designed to convey to the user a central value: the permanent search for scientific rigor in everything we do”, says Sérgio Guimarães, Director of Research at IMDS.

The “Impact Monitor” is another highlight, comprising a wide collection of technical and academic materials about the design, impact and mechanisms of successful policies and programs – an essential library for inspiration and support for public and third sector managers. We have already organized more than 290 public policy programs, which allow publics managers to consult on practically any area of government action. This growing collection, presented in a friendly language with intuitive navigation, is currently available only in Portuguese version, but with several links to papers and videos in English, we encourage you to explore this rich vault of multidisciplinary content.

IMDS’ new website was conceived with the proposition of serving the various target audiences of the institute, which include agents of the public sphere, such as state governments, city halls and secretariats; professors and researchers; students; third sector agents; multilateral organizations; and the society in general.
We invite you to enjoy IMDS’ new website and discover a world of knowledge about development and social mobility.
