How Bolsa Família has opened the doors of higher education to 256,000 beneficiaries
The Bolsa Família program, created by the Lula government in 2003, has been instrumental in enabling thousands of Brazilians to complete higher education. A survey by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) reveals that, between 2016 and 2022, the number of people with higher education who receive the benefit or have an income compatible with CadÚnico (Single Registry) grew by 774 thousand.
