Education and Bolsa Família boost social mobility in Brazil

Data from the Atlas of Social Mobility reveal that factors such as the quality of public education and income transfer programs have played a fundamental role in the social ascension of Brazilians. According to economist Diogo Brito, education was the main impetus for this change, especially due to the improvement in schooling and the inclusion of young people in the income pyramid.
