Almost 50% of the children of the poorest families remain in poverty
The new version of the Atlas of Social Mobility, released this Friday (31), shows that almost half of the children of the poorest 25% of the population in the country are unable to leave poverty when they reach adulthood. The situation is more serious among non-whites and women.
The Atlas is a public platform developed by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), in partnership with the research group Prospera Lab.
