The technical note ” The Implementation of Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS) in Brazilian Municipalities ” aims to contribute to the characterization of the expansion of the offer of basic social protection services in Brazil, through the study of the implementation of one of its main facilities: the Social Assistance Reference Centers.
Data from the 2007 to 2022 SUAS Censuses and the 2000 Demographic Census were used to describe the process of implementation of CRAS to identify characteristics of the municipalities that adopted the facilities more or less quickly.
