The technical note “Exploring the reasons for school dropout in Brazil: an analysis from the PNADC-2022 education supplement” aims to contribute to the characterization of young Brazilians who are out of school.
In this note, the reasons given for being out of school are characterized, considering as well possible differences between the pre- and post-Covid-19 pandemic period. In the end, possible differences in reasons for dropping out of school are characterized according to age, gender, and income groups, considering the relationship of the theme with the issue of social mobility.
