The IMDS continues the agenda of studies based on data from the Bolsa Família Program (PBF) that studies the dynamics of poverty and social mobility in Brazil, especially throughout the life cycle of the individual. The objective is to follow those beneficiaries of the PBF in 2005, considering that this was the main program for the eradication of poverty in Brazil at the time.
At first, the presentation “Conditions of access to the formal labor market: an analysis of the 2005 beneficiaries of the PBF” seeks to investigate the exit and permanence rates of the beneficiaries of the 2005 PBF Payroll, 14 years later, in the 2019 CadÚnico. The second step, therefore, relates the universe of interest, identified in the 2005 PBF Payroll, and the Relação Annual de Informações Sociais (RAIS) between 2015 and 2019.
Once those who accessed the formal employment captured by RAIS were identified, the institute uses the data to analyze the employment conditions of this universe and compare their access to those with the same age group who were not beneficiaries of the PBF between 2005 and 2019 (people who were not identified as poor in 2005 and were not part of the PBF until 2019). Thus, we seek to understand how the insertion of these individuals in the formal labor market took place.
