Without fiscal balance, more education guarantees neither an increase in income nor exit from Bolsa Família

A study by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) that followed 15.5 million young people dependent on Bolsa Família from 2012 to 2024 reveals that a third (33.5%) remained in the program – before, as dependents of their parents; now, as main beneficiaries. Another 17.6% were in CadÚnico, which registers the most vulnerable, but without receiving Bolsa Família. Almost half (48.9%) left CadÚnico.
