The survey “Intergenerational Mobility of Education: International Comparisons”, conducted by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), based on data from the 2014 PNAD (National Household Sample Survey), the last with these indicators available for consultation – showed that 69.8% of children whose parents have completed higher education tend to follow the same path. On the other hand, for children of parents who have not completed High School, the chance of children graduating from a university course drops to 10.4% and 58.3% tend to leave school before completing High School.
