Success of Bolsa Família: 45% of beneficiaries enter the formal labor market
An exclusive study conducted by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), in partnership with the consulting firm Oppen Social and the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), revealed that 45% of Bolsa Família beneficiaries were able to enter the formal labor market, according to the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo. Of the 11.6 million children in the program who were between the ages of 7 and 16 in 2005, approximately 5.2 million were registered at least once in the Annual Social Information Report (Rais) between 2015 and 2019.
