Rio Grande do Sul had the smallest increase in poverty in Brazil

Rio Grande do Sul had the smallest increase in poverty in the country in 2021, the year in which all other states recorded a downturn. While Brazil advanced 5%, RS saw 0.8% of its population become poor, equivalent to approximately 90,300 inhabitants. The data are from the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS).
