Poverty eradication should be a priority and there are resources, says Tafner
Brazil is capable of eradicating poverty, at a cost of around R$ 110 billion per year, but for this it is necessary to establish priorities. With no room for increased tax burden or debt, the government’s path should be to review spending in other areas and allocate them for a policy with clear goals of reducing poverty and extreme poverty in the country. The evaluation was made yesterday by economist Paulo Tafner, CEO of the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), at Live do Valor.
