Lack of Internet access is evident in the pandemic and inequality increases
According to the director of the Institute for Mobility and Social Development, the future of young people will be marked by years spent in the pandemic.
The new coronavirus pandemic has increased economic inequality in the country. According to a study by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), 55% of the children of parents with no schooling do not have access to the Internet. The percentage drops to 5% in cases of children of parents with higher education.
“The distance that was already great has definitely increased, and, therefore, the future of these young people will be marked by these years”, explains the director of the Institute for Mobility and Social Development, Paulo Tafner.
