Is Bolsa Família efficient? Study says ‘benefitted children’ get out of poverty
The study, conducted by seven researchers from the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ) and the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), focused on Bolsa Família dependents who were between 7 and 16 years of age in 2005, the year in which the program began to benefit this first generation.
