Latest‘Children’ of Bolsa Família: in Minas, more than half managed to get jobs
An unprecedented survey by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), in partnership with the consulting firm Oppen Social and a researcher from the Brazilian School of Economics and Finance of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV EPGE), points out that 54% of the young people from Minas Gerais who received the Bolsa-Família in 2005, aged between 7 and 16 years at the time, managed to enter the formal labor market from 2015 to 2019.
