Bolsa Família Program: The exit door
A survey conducted by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development revealed that, of the first generation of beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família program, only one in five children continues to receive federal aid.
The studies, released this week, show that 64% of dependent beneficiaries aged 7 to 16 years of the program in 2005 were no longer in the Cadastro Único 14 years later, in 2019. That year, these people were between the ages of 21 and 30.
