Bolsa Família has been improving the lives of millions of Brazilians for 20 years
More than 64% of children and adolescents who received Bolsa Família in 2005 had left the Cadastro Único by 2019. In 2005, 11.6 million beneficiaries were between the ages of seven and 16. In 2019, only 2.37 million of those children and adolescents, at the time aged between 21 and 30, remained in the program, while about 7.45 million had left the Cadastro Único. The data are from a study by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS).
