Assis Cavalcante worries about the impacts of the ‘neither-nors’ on the economy

They neither study nor work. This is a reality that grew by 0.46 percentage points in 2023, among young people aged 18 to 24. It seems little, but it would be enough to leverage Brazil’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), if they had been incorporated into the market. The information is contained in a report by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), released by Estadão.
