A portrait of learning and inequality in Brazil

A study by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) revealed that, among children in the poorest half of the population, only 10.8% reach the richest 25% in adult life. This low social mobility is linked to unequal access to education, especially in the early school years.
