One more panel of the series of indicators of the thematic axis of school dropout and abandonment, "Territory and inequality of abandonment among schools" seeks to analyze the problem of abandonment based on the inequality between public schools in each territory – be it the Unit of the Federation, mesoregion or microregion.

Constructed from information on the Final Situation of the Student, an INEP database, the panel presents the dispersion of abandonment rates per stage/grade of education each year, between 2008 and 2020, for the territorial clippings under analysis. Again, it is possible to compare the results by rural or urban area, sex and skin color or race of students, as well as from the division between those with or without age-grade distortion.
