Launched in conjunction with the articles of the series on school abandonment and dropout, the Technical Note “School abandonment and dropout in Brazil” inaugurates the line of publications “Technical Notes” presenting IMDS’ institutional view on this theme.
In it, a flyover is made over points discussed in the series of articles, and other points of reflection are added. Indicators of dropout and school abandonment are presented, addressing its causes and consequences, and presenting initiatives that seek to combat problems, maintaining as backdrop throughout the issue of social mobility.
