Pisa 2037
Pisa 2037 is an initiative that is geared to map and support evidence-backed paths in public education policies, with the aim of bringing Brazilian children who will take Pisa in 2037 closer to the average performance of OECD countries.
Pisa (Program for International Student Assessment) is an international assessment applied to 15-year-olds, which measures skills in reading, mathematics, and science. Its results are widely used as a reference for the improvement of educational systems around the world.
The first theme contemplated by the agenda is literacy and its pedagogy. Future agendas may be dedicated to mathematics and the development of socio-emotional skills throughout childhood and adolescence.
The Agenda consolidates IMDS’s efforts to formulate advocacy guidelines focused on children’s human capital and its impact on the social mobility of new generations of Brazilians.
