Municipal Elections 2024: Municipal Indicators
The IMDS Elections 2024 was created to provide municipal indicators that contribute to the electoral debate, especially with regard to the economic and social development of the municipalities. The initiative aims to make public information accessible, strengthening the electoral debate for managers, candidates and civil society. In addition to contributing to the public debate, it also seeks to provide government plans with qualified data, supporting a more informed and transparent electoral process.
The panel includes 65 indicators organized into six themes: Education, Housing and Sanitation, Poverty, Health, Safety and Labor and Income. The data were collected from various public sources available to all municipalities and capitals in the country. The historical series covers the period after 2012, allowing access to recent and relevant information from the last three municipal elections.
To facilitate the use of the panel, a detailed User Guide has been made available . The dashboard offers visualizations such as Overview, for an overview of municipal indicators; Historical Series, for trend analysis; Scatter Plot, to enable correlations between indicators; and Documentation, which details data sources and methodologies.
