Social mobility in Brazil reveals racial challenges and obstacles

The analysis of the Atlas of Social Mobility shows that almost half (49%) of Brazilians of a given generation is currently in a better financial situation than their parents. However, this indicator also reveals that Brazil faces profound difficulties in social mobility, especially when observing racial cuts that reveal that structural racism imposes additional obstacles to those who come from more vulnerable conditions.
