Research reveals that 48.9% of young people in the Bolsa Família left the Unified Registry between 2012 and 2024

An unprecedented survey carried out by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) revealed that almost half of the young beneficiaries of Bolsa Família in 2012 completely left the Unified Registry by 2024. The survey, released in November 2025 by Agência Gov and the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger (MDS), offers a long-term perspective on the impact of public income transfer policies in Brazil.
