Most of the ‘children’ of Bolsa Família no longer depend on the program, study shows
The figures are part of a study published in July by seven Brazilian researchers, including members of the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ) and the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). For the researchers, the information found shows that Bolsa Família brings “better living conditions” to beneficiaries and their dependents not only in the short term.
