In Brazil, those who are born poor have a minimal chance of being rich when they reach adulthood. The Atlas of Mobility, from the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), founded by economists Arminio Fraga and Paulo Tafner, traces the contours of this persistent problem, related to inequality.
