The research was conducted by a group of seven experts from the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS), the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ) and the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
The focus of the study was the first generation of Bolsa Família dependents, children and adolescents who were between 7 and 16 years of age in 2005. The development of these people was monitored over 14 years, until 2019.
