Bolsa Família stimulates autonomy and can be the basis of the ‘ecosystem to overcome poverty’

A study by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development shows that most children and adolescents benefiting from Bolsa Família no longer depend on funding in adult life. The survey analyzed the situation of dependent beneficiaries aged between 7 and 16 years in 2005. In 2019, 14 years later, only 20 percent were still receiving government aid.
