Bolsa Família expands coverage and half of Brazilians are already enjoying the benefits
A survey by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) followed 15.5 million young people who were dependent on Bolsa Família in 2012. After 12 years:
48.9% (7.6 million) left the Unified Registry completely;
17.6% (2.7 million) left Bolsa Família, but remained in CadÚnico;
33.5% (5.2 million) were still in the program, indicating continued vulnerability.
