Bolsa Família increases resilience and affects the migration decision of the poorest farmers when punished by droughts. This is the conclusion of the first research to examine in detail the correlation between social programs and climate change in rural areas of Brazil, carried out by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS).
