Among all the factors that can increase a person's chances of growing in life, Education plays the most relevant role. Several studies show that the more one advances in their school career, the greater their income as a worker. But what emerges from the data made available on the new platform of the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) are the effects of a person's educational level on the development of their children. And, mainly, how much each year of a person's studies can convert into better development for their children in their academic life.

The data from the IMDS platform allows for several data crossings, including division by regions. The Northeast emerges as the region of the country where these few years of study are more prosperous, generating even more positive results. The difference between the children of people with no education and those with incomplete Primary and Junior High School education who complete High School or go beyond is, in the national average, 28.8 percentage points. In the Northeast, this figure rises to 32.4, ahead of the Southeast, placed second at 27.9 percentage points.
