Bolsa Família helps, but entering the formal market requires even more
Almost 45% of the first children benefited by Family Bag were able to gain at least some access to the formal labor market in their youth, according to an unprecedented study by the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) and brought forward exclusively to Valor.
The work follows the dependents of the families benefited by Family Bag in 2005, who were between 7 and 16 years old in that year and identifies the presence of these same people in the indicators of the years 2015 to 2019 of the Annual List of Social Services (Rais), of the Ministry of Labor.
